Keeping up with the Kattarshians

cat tv show

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians clan has found the cutest rivals to their reality TV series, and this show's cast loves playing with yarn. The series is Iceland's response to KUWTK. The aptly- named Keeping Up With the Kattarshians offers live streams that follow the normal days of feisty and adorable cats.

This sweet Icelandic show about dramatic cats originally aired in 2017, showcasing some cute and heartwarming moments between a group of female kitten sisters. With cameras set up at every angle to catch every second of their lives, the show follows the original cats: Guoni, Ronja, Briet, and Stubber. Fans melted at the discovery of the show. There’s no doubt that, as Keeping Up With The Kardashians comes to a close, fans are looking for something new to watch, and this affectionate show is delivering all the feels. But what differences can fans expect?

First, Keeping Up With Kattarshians has more of a humble beginning, according to Newsweek. It was created by the Icelandic Cat Protection Society, and follows the four mischievous cats prancing around and getting into all kinds of trouble. These rescue kittens, now adopted and off the show, had their spots filled by a new crew, who are filmed 24/7, just like the Kardashians. Both shows have plenty of catfights and hijinks. While the Kardashians has juicy gossip and a family of celebrities and their friends taking on the world, Keeping Up With The Kattarshians has replaced actual talking with saucy meows, trouble-making, and calming footage of sleeping cats! Just like the Kardashians, the cats are sisters, and the constant filming gives fans insight into every second of their existence, just like Khloé, Kim, Kylie, and Kendall. Take a look at the cast of the Kattarshians getting into some trouble in the post below:

Dramatic with a helpful dose of cute, these feisty cats are pulling out their manicured claws and are experiencing a surge of popularity in reality TV thanks to the Reddit community. They have actually become so popular that the original kittens have been adopted, which is a bit different compared to the original show. Unfortunately, fans can’t literally adopt the Kardashians, but they certainly have invited the family into their home, albeit through their TV screens. Four more cats have made it onto the show as their replacement, but the original four will always have a beautiful home in both fans' and producer Inga Lind Karlsdottir’s hearts. “It’s fun when they go crazy and ruin the house,” the producer said. "But it’s also calming to watch them sleep,” the producer continued. "It's good for the soul. There's so much bad news we read about in the media, and terrible things are happening in the world, so it's nice to sit there and relax and watch the kittens.”

Many fans can probably appreciate and relate to the feeling of escaping the toils of daily life through a TV show or movie. No matter what genre, people can find any kind of relaxation and relief from simply sitting down at the end of the day. These two reality shows provide comfort and entertainment. From watching the Kardashians and their family drama to watching kittens sleep after a long day, you'll be able to kick back and enjoy either series!

All good things must come to an end, and regretfully "Keeping up the Kattarshians" ended in 2021.
